2014 Show Checklist...
1. Register for classes thru Cortney for the BBVRPD. (This is non-refundable) Show participation is based on which classes you are enrolled in for the next 3/4months.
2. Pay Performance Fee of $60 per dancer. (This is non-refundable) This includes but is not limited to Choreographer, Director, Program Editing, Costume Rental/Maintenance, Lighting and Sound Fees, and PAC fees. Payable to Cortney Seifert Warmsley
3. Costume Rental Fee is $10 per class: (This is non-refundable) Most costumes cost approx. $50 plus! I am still determined to offer a system where dancers can still participate in multiple classes without worrying about buying multiple costumes adding up to hundreds of dollars. Most of you know that I have fronted my own money for 5 years now to buy costumes but due to rising costs I am no longer capable of doing so. Therefore in order to continue building the “Dancers Anonymous Costume Closet” dancers are required to pay $10 per class that they are involved with. Payable to Cortney Seifert Warmsley.
4. Plan on a Costume Deposit!!! Each dancer is required to deposit $5 per costume piece that they are renting. When you return ALL of your costume pieces in the condition you rented them in, not tampered with, you will then have your full deposit returned to you. Now if you are missing a piece you will risk not receiving some or all of your deposit back plus possibly paying the difference if the costume retails at a higher price. Once again notice that the Costumes are rented and are to be returned intact. ***Dancers must deposit CASH up to $100. Any deposits exceeding $100 the balance can be written by check.
5. Not applicable for Spring 2014 Fundraising Participation … you may buy out of participating. Once again in order to purchase costumes for our dancers you can see by doing the math that more money is needed in order to buy new costumes each year. Events require both dancer and a guardian to help. If you cannot participate you can buy out at $10 per fundraiser. ***NOTE: fundraisers require more than just participation but advertising so that people come and support our dancers! J Fundraisers TBA
6. Mandatory Guardian Sign Up to Help. One guardian per dancer is required to help with something. Failure to do so could result in deposits not being returned or removal of your dancer from the program. Note guardians that have more than one dancer participating must sign up to help for each dancer.
7. Don’t forget to Check the Online Calendar!!! Missed classes and/or missed rehearsals could result in being removed from sections, entire numbers, or the entire show! (No Refunds) Note the calendar also has costume pick up day, costume return day, program picture day, PAC days, fundraiser days, full cast rehearsal days, ECT!!! So pay attention!!! The online calendar will be continually updated so always check back to make sure you know when are where to be and what to be prepared with.
8. Purchase Personal Costume Pieces. Website will list what each class expects the dancers to purchase for personal costume pieces they will be required to have in order to participate in the show. (example: tights, leotards, shoes, ect.)
9. Sell Tickets!!! Tickets are only $10 each. ALL family and friends are to buy tickets to see the show. NO ONE gets in free. (New starting 2014: each dancer will receive two show tickets which is now a mandatory extra $20 fee added to performance fee.)
10. No Refunds for Class Tuition, Dancers Anonymous Apparel or Performance Fees: There Are No Exceptions….. There are just NO REFUNDS for anything
11. Make sure ALL your liability waivers have been signed and turned in. BBVRPD Waiver; Parent/Dancer Rules and Regs; Participation Waiver. Show Contract: amplifies your understanding that participation, attitude, attendance, 3Dpolicy, are all followed in order to participate. This goes for GUARDIANS AND DANCERS
12. Mandatory:
· Rehearsal Weeks…
· Show Dates…
· Costume Rental…
You will sign up for a time to pick up and drop off your rented costumes. A guardian must be present and dancers should accompany them so that they go thru pieces with Cortney. Don’t forget to bring a CASH deposit. Location will most likely be at Cortney’s house unless otherwise stated
***subject to change***
***Added Note: Marcus and Cortney are officially moving out of Big Bear. We didn't want to leave without saying goodbye and that is why we are truly hoping to do one more dance season in Big Bear. Financially the only way we can though is to get a minimum of 70 dancers to participate in the show. Spread the Word! Looking forward to seeing you all in February!!!
